ADVENTURE OF LIFE(Mustang)
Jomsom,
also known as Dzongsam (New Fort) is the center of Gharapjhong
rural municipality in Mustang district and a former independent village
development committee situated at an altitude of about 2,700 meters
(8,900 ft.) in Gandaki Province of western Nepal. The soaring peaks of Dhaulagiri and Nilgiri form a backdrop to the town
straddling the Kali Gandaki River, which flows right through the center
of Jomsom. Along the banks of the Kali Gandaki, black fossilized stones
called shaligram, considered
as an iconic symbol and reminder of the god Vishnu in the Hindu culture, can be found. Such
stones are believed to be found only in the Kali Gandaki and are holy to the
Hindus.
As the district headquarters, Jomsom is primarily an
administrative and commercial center with government officials and merchants
rubbing shoulders with the residents of the region, known as Thakalis. The town is also the main hub for onward travel to Upper Mustang and Muktinath. A company of the Nepalese Army is stationed here. Regular flights
to Pokhara are operated from Jomsom Airport, which is also capable of handling
aircraft from the Nepalese Army
Air Service.
My Working place personal view

pandit, I am a civil engineer working as road construction from Beni-Jomsom
road project and during working this site I enjoyed a lot working with it.
There is an incredible & stunning view, Its better in the mountains, cool nature. It felt like
heaven comes to earth.
This place is meaningful to me because
it is part of the county I loved, is part of the county where I worked up, and now
this is part of my life.
Trekking experience
When I was going trekking I got a lot of experience with
unforgettable memory which is now my part of my life. The scenic mountain, Cool
weather, snow falling, peaceful area, apple garden, Rhododendron garden,
spiritual things that may can every rude person to become calm.
While walking with
friends incredible thing happened to us.
Personal request:
I humble to request to you don’t go achievement for money, our life is for enjoyment not always carry a tension, anxiety carries in our mind so
be relax. Spend quality of time with friends, if you want to more good travel
journey then go with a motorbike you will not miss anything and you won’t
